Embroiderers' Guild of America

Hagerstown Chapter, Tuesday, Nov. 30, meeting room of Seventh-day Adventist Church, 11507 Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown. The feature of the November meeting will be stitching of three holiday angel ornaments. Kits will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Membership is open to all stitchers, novice to master. Meetings explore a variety of needlework, stitched with a needle with an eye. The group meets the last Tuesday of each month. 5K Thanksgiving Turkey Trot

Thursday, Nov. 25, beginning 9 a.m., outdoor track at Hag-erstown Community College, Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown. The event is open to all ages and turkeys will be given to the top male and female finishers overall and in each age group. Trophies will be awarded to each winning relay team. Everyone entering before race day receives a T-shirt. Registration is $20. The race begins at the outdoor track, winds around campus and ends inside the ARCC. Community breakfast buffet
