The Trains of Christmas

The visions, sounds and snows of Christmas past and present will be displayed on an "O" gauge Christmas garden, featuring the trains of Lionel, MTH, Williams, Weaver, K-Line and others. 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday, Nov. 27, and Sunday, Nov. 28. Story time with Mrs. Claus

Listen to the tales of the holiday season with Mrs. Claus. Children at story time will receive a free gift and one child will receive a free 5-by-7 photograph with Santa and Mrs. Claus. 9:45 to 10 p.m., Saturdays, Nov. 27, Dec. 4, Dec. 11, and Dec. 18. Valley Mall, Center Court, Hagers-town.

Photos with Santa

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Bring your wish lists and have your photographs taken with Santa and the Festival of Trees. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Arts Centre, Old Federal Building, 208 S. Queen St. $5. Each child will receive a framed photograph and a special treat from Santa Claus. Call 1-304-263-0224.

Trainfest

The festival will feature trains, railroad memorabilia, railroad collectibles, all gauges, Lionel, American Flyer, and hobby tools. German Christmas

The Jonathan Hager House and Museum will be decorated for the holiday season. Tour guides will discuss German Christmas traditions including the Christmas tree, yule log, Wise Men, and obscure legends such as werewolves, barking dogs and wedding superstitions. Continues through Sunday, Jan. 2. Jonathan Hager House, City Park, Hagerstown. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The museum will be closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Admission costs $4, adults; $3, senior citizens; $2, ages 6 to 12; and is free for ages 5 and younger. Candlelight house tour

FREDERICK, Md. - Six downtown historic houses will be featured. The homes have been decorated for the holidays by area designers and decorators. 5:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5.
