Hospital auxiliary elects new officers

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - The Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary's Board held its annual business meeting recently at the Waynesboro Country Club.

The nominating committee chair, Pat Groff, presented the slate of officers, followed by Dr. Jackie Barlup with the installation of new officers.

Elaine Sneeringer was elected president of the auxiliary and Cherie LeBard, vice president. The remaining officers are Frances Miller, treasurer; Pat Groff, assistant treasurer; and Judy Baker, corresponding and recording secretary.

Donations made to the hospital by the auxiliary during 2003-04 totaled $37,977.57 and included redecoration of several patient rooms. In addition, $9,120.30 was donated for the neogenetic screening of infants; seven $1,000 scholarships were awarded to high school seniors who have chosen to pursue a career in the health field; and the $2,500 Pearle E. Warren Scholarship was awarded to a second-year nursing student.

The total of all contributions for the fiscal year was $56,597.87.
