Sexual offense charges against Hagerstown man go to

All six charges against a Hagerstown man charged with having sexual contact with an 11-year-old girl were forwarded to Washington County Circuit Court following a preliminary hearing Tuesday, court records state.

Washington County District Judge R. Noel Spence found probable cause on all charges against Herman A. Gundy, also known as "Biggs," 30, whose last known address is 441 N. Potomac St., Apt. 7, records state.

Gundy is charged with second- and third-degree sex offense, sodomy, contributing to the condition of a child, second-degree assault and delivery of drug paraphernalia to a minor, according to records.

The Hagerstown Police Department alleges Gundy told the girl he was a friend of her mother, gave her cocaine and had sexual contact with her at a Hagerstown apartment on Oct. 19.

Gundy was being held at the Washington County Detention Center Tuesday on $300,000 bond, a detention center spokeswoman said.
