GREENCASTLE, Pa. - An Antrim Township man was killed Sunday afternoon when the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a utility pole on Worleytown Road, according to Franklin County Coroner Jeffrey R. Conner.

David L. Hugus, 57, of 650 Hykes Road, was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:40 p.m., Conner said. Hugus, who was wearing a helmet, died of blunt-force multiple trauma, Conner said.

There will be no autopsy, Conner said.

Hugus was riding east at 12:57 p.m. when the motorcycle went off the road and hit the utility pole in the 11800 block of Worleytown Road, Conner said. The accident occurred near the crest of a hill where there was a slight curve in the road, he said.

There were no other vehicles involved, he said.

The road was closed for about two hours while Pennsylvania State Police investigated the accident, according to Conner. No additional details were available from police Sunday night.
