Hentz-Code


Erin Beth Hentz and John Nicholas Code IV announce their engagement.

Ms. Hentz is the daughter of Dennis and Cherie Hentz of Frederick, Md. She is a 1997 graduate of Hampton High School in Pittsburgh, studied in Germany and London, then received an associate of arts degree from Frederick Community College. She is employed as a senior resource specialist at MAMSI Health Plans in Frederick.

Mr. Code is the son of John N. Code III of Germantown, Md., and Kathryn Code of Boonsboro. He is a 1995 graduate of Boonsboro High School, a 1998 graduate of Hagerstown Community College and received a bachelor's degree in secondary education from Shepherd College in 2001. He is employed with Carroll County (Md.) Public Schools.

A July 1, 2005, wedding is planned.




Mann-Becker


Marshall T. and Deborah Mann of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristine D. Mann, to William C. Becker, son of Donald and Elizabeth Becker of Smithsburg.

Ms. Mann is a 1999 graduate of Smithsburg High School, received an associate's degree from Hagerstown Community College in 2001 and a bachelor's degree in French from Mount St. Mary's University this year. She is employed as a long-term substitute teacher with Waynesboro (Pa.) Area Senior High School and as a cashier at Martins Food on Dual Highway in Hagerstown.

Mr. Becker is a 1998 graduate of Smithsburg High School and received an associate's degree from Hagers-town Community College in 2003. He is employed with Bowman Development in Williamsport.

A June 4, 2005, wedding is planned.




Zimmerman-Distefano


Amanda Zimmerman of Hagerstown and Luke Distefano of Baltimore announce their engagement.

Ms. Zimmerman is the daughter of Terri Zimmerman and Donald Zimmerman, both of Hagerstown. She is a 1998 graduate of North Hagerstown High School and is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in elementary education at Mount St. Mary's University. She is employed by Washington County Health Department.

Mr. Distefano is the son of Lou and Pat Distefano, both of Baltimore. He is a 1996 graduate of Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore and is pursuing an associate of arts degree in computer information systems at Hagerstown Community College. He is employed by Bluelinx of Frederick, Md.

An Oct. 1, 2005, wedding is planned.




Caten-Mullin


Debra Caten and Mary Kammerle of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their daughter and granddaughter, Liesel Marie Caten, to William Elsworth Mullin III, son of William and Sandra Mullin of Martinsburg, W.Va.

Miss Caten is a 1996 graduate of Salem High School in Virginia Beach, Va., and received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Barton College in Wilson, N.C., in 2000. She is employed as a registered nurse with Correctional Medical Services and as a clinical nursing instructor with Shepherd University.

Mr. Mullin is a 1997 graduate of Martinsburg High School. He is employed as an operator with Creo Manufacturing in Middleway, W.Va.

An April 2005 wedding is planned.




Hause-Shupp


Ken and Sue Hause of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Kendra Renee Hause, to Jeremy Scott Shupp, son of David and Elizabeth Miller of Clear Spring and the late William Sidney Shupp Jr.

Miss Hause is a 1997 graduate of Cumberland Valley Christian School in Chambersburg, Pa., and plans to graduate from University of Maryland School of Nursing in December. She is employed as a registered nurse with Washington County Hospital.

Mr. Shupp is a 1997 graduate of Clear Spring High School and plans to receive a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Frostburg State University in December.

A July 9, 2005, wedding is planned.




Hull-Hegedus


Wendy Nicole Hull and Michael Steven Hegedus Jr. announce their engagement.

Ms. Hull is the daughter of Marvene Daugherty of Waynesboro, Pa., and Stephen Hull of Sharpsburg. She is a 1994 graduate of Boonsboro High School. She is employed with Clarion Hotel and Conference Center.

Mr. Hegedus is the son of Carol and Mike Hegedus of Boonsboro. He is a 1998 graduate of Boonsboro High School and received an associate of applied science degree from Frederick Community College in 2004. He also served four years in the United States Marine Corps, earning the rank of sergeant. He is employed with the State of Maryland.

An April 2005 wedding is planned.




Simpson-Cirincione


Michael and Jane Simpson of Whitefish Bay, Wis., announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Ellen Simpson, to James Frank Cirincione, son of Robert and Janice Cirincione of Hagerstown.

Ms. Simpson graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College and received a law degree from Vanderbilt University. She is an associate with Bell, Boyd & Lloyd in Chicago.

Mr. Cirincione is a 1994 graduate of North Hagerstown High School, graduated with honors in philosophy from Colgate University and received a law degree from Vanderbilt University. He is with the the law firm of Foley & Lardner in Chicago.

An April 30, 2005, wedding is planned.
