TCM is featuring films of Grace Kelly

November 12, 2004

Friday, Nov. 12

8 p.m. on CBS

"Joan of Arcadia"

Stunt casting is standard during "sweeps," but here's an example that we actually like. Russ Tamblyn, father of series star Amber Tamblyn, returns as the dog-walker who's just one of the many forms in which God talks to her.

8 p.m. on TCM

Remembering Grace Kelly

Three memorable films from the movie star who became a princess: "High Noon" (1952, with Gary Cooper), "Rear Window" (1954, with James Stewart), and "The Swan" (1956, with Alec Guinness). Kelly made only 11 movies before leaving show business to marry Prince Rainier of Monaco. She died in an automobile accident 22 years ago.

9 p.m. on ABC

"Hope & Faith"

Few series make use of as many guest stars as "Hope & Faith," and tonight the unlikely trio of Robert Wagner, Jenny McCarthy and Jaclyn Smith returns. (Wagner plays Hope and Faith's dad, still torn between McCarthy and Smith.)
