Homespun gathering set for Nov. 11 to 14

CLEAR SPRING - Snazzy Sewing Creations, the second annual homespun gathering, will be Thursday, Nov. 11, to Sunday, Nov. 14, at the home/studio of Paula Myers, 11407 Ashton Road, Clear Spring.

Among the items available will be Cutshaw's wood toys and decorations, Joyce's silk flowers, Mandy's soaps, Jen's notion wraps and Roberta's hand-painted votive jars.

In addition, Paula's dolls, pillows, carry-all bags, aprons, ornaments and table runners will be available.

The hours are Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

From Md. 68, turn west onto Ashton Road and proceed through the intersection with Md. 56. Cross the railroad tracks and turn left into the sixth driveway on the left from the tracks.

Orders being taken for grave covers

CLEAR SPRING - For the sixth year, the Clear Spring Garden Club is taking orders for Christmas grave covers.

Each fresh pine grave cover is 4 feet long and is decorated with pine cones, assorted greens and a large red velvet bow.

The covers cost $30 each. Orders must be placed by Nov. 26 and can be picked up Dec. 4. Quantities are limited.
