Church youth group plans breakfast

The youth group of Mount Nebo United Methodist Church will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday, Nov. 20, from 7 to 11 a.m.

The cost is $5 for those 12 and older, $2.50 for ages 5-11, and free for children 4 and younger. In addition to pancakes, the breakfast will include sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee, juice and milk.

Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the youth mission projects. Mount Nebo is at 134 S. Main St.

Jingle Bell Run planned for Nov. 13

The Boonsboro High School National Honor Society, in conjunction with the National Arthritis Foundation, will sponsor the third annual Jingle Bell Run on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Boonsboro High School.

The one-mile fun run will start at 9:15 a.m. on the school track. The 5K run will start at 9:30 on the campus course.


Registration will begin at 8 a.m. Early registration is encouraged. The fee is $25.

Dot Foods is the corporate sponsor this year, but other businesses are being sought to donate prizes or food items. Donations will be noted by putting business' names on the back of this year's T-shirt.
