Blair wins 52nd District seat

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Del. Craig Blair, a Republican, defeated his Democratic challenger Scott Funk, meaning Blair will serve another term as a member of the state Legislature.

Blair, 45, was first elected two years ago. Funk, 21, is a student at West Virginia University.

According to complete but unofficial results, Blair received 4,209 votes and Funk received 2,403 votes.

With two of Morgan County's three precincts in the district reporting, Blair was leading 536 votes to 373.

The 52nd District covers several communities in Berkeley and Morgan counties, including Falling Waters, Marlowe, Unger, Back Creek Valley, Tomahawk and the unincorporated areas of Hedgesville.
