South Pointe phase gets preliminary OK


A fifth phase of the South Pointe development on the east side of South Pointe Drive received preliminary plat approval from the Washington County Planning Commission on Monday night.

The approval is contingent upon determining whether the county's Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance fee for schools would apply to the development, the Planning Commission said.

The phase consists of 45 lots for town houses on 8.7 acres, Senior Planner Lisa Kelly Pietro said.

Paul N. Crampton Jr. LLC owns the property.




North Pointe retail shops plan approved


Retail shops are proposed for the North Pointe Shopping Center near Food Lion north of Hagerstown.

The Washington County Planning Commission on Monday approved the site plan for the shops.

No other information was available about the retail shops at the meeting.




Broadfording Church addition plan OK'd


The Washington County Planning Commission on Monday approved a site plan for an 8,600-square-foot addition to Broadfording Church, which is on the west side of Greencastle Pike.

The property is in an agricultural zone on 6.2 acres, Senior Planner Lisa Kelly Pietro said.




Site plan approved for Crosspoint shops


A site plan for three shops at the Crosspoint Shopping Center on the west side of Massey Boulevard was approved Monday by the Washington County Planning Commission.

Senior Planner Tim Lung said one of the shops proposed for the 4,200-square-foot building is a coffee shop with a drive-up window.

No other information was available about the other shops.
