Edward Jones

The local Edward Jones investment representatives will host a free one-hour satellite broadcast about choosing a 401(k) plan titled "Heads or Tails?" on Nov. 9.

The broadcasts will be at 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the local Edward Jones offices.

Topics that will be discussed include whether your investments fit your needs, taking advantage of what your plan has to offer and whether you are saving enough to reach your goals.

Animal Health Clinic of Funkstown

FUNKSTOWN - The Animal Health Clinic of Funkstown recently was accepted as the newest blood drive location for the Eastern Veterinary Blood Bank.

As a blood drive location, the staff of the Eastern Veterinary Blood Bank will come to the Animal Health Clinic every seven weeks to accept blood from donor dogs.

Donor dogs must be between the ages of 9 months and 71/2 years, and must weigh at least 35 pounds. Dogs may donate blood between five and seven times per year.

Waypoint Financial

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Waypoint Financial Corp. recently announced net income of 31 cents per share, or $10.3 million, for the quarter ended Sept. 30.

That compares to 30 cents per share, or $9.9 million, for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2003, and 30 cents per share, or $10 million, for the linked quarter ended June 30.

Waypoint's board of directors also declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 14 cents per share to shareholders of record as of Nov. 4. The dividend will be paid on Nov. 15.

The Manitowoc Co.

MANITOWOC, Wis. - The board of directors of The Manitowoc Co. recently declared an annual cash dividend of 28 cents per share of common stock to shareholders of record as of the close of business on Dec. 1. The dividend will be paid on Dec. 10.

The Manitowoc Co. is the parent company of Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove, Pa.
