Public hearing set for downtown buildings


CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - A public hearing on the future of four East Washington Street buildings will be held by the Jefferson County Commission at 7 p.m. Nov. 15 in the county meeting room in the Old Charles Town Library.

The four buildings include the Moffett Building at 104 E. Washington St., the Reineger Building at 108, 110 and 112 E. Washington St., the Smoot Building at 114 E. Washington St. and the Mason Building at 116 E. Washington St.




Choir jubilee at Pa. church on Saturday


WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Christ United Methodist Church will hold a fall choir jubilee Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring Cristoforo Padula, tenor with the Metropolitan Opera in New York City.

The workshop is open to all area singers who wish to enhance their vocal skills. It will include learning essential vocal techniques.

The cost for the day is $20.
