Brittany Lattisaw and Cara Leepson each scored for Mercersburg in its shutout win over St. Maria Goretti.

Kristina Lattisaw added an assist for the Blue Storm (9-5-1) while Steph Turner recorded the shutout in goal.

HEDGESVILLE W.Va. - Megan Grant had 14 kills, 10 digs and six blocks and Hedgesville swept Jefferson, 25-12, 25-19, 25-16.

Kayla Laing had five kills and 10 digs, Lauren Ashton had 17 assists and five aces, Taylor Munson had 19 digs and Virginia Rogus had four kills and eight assists for Hedgesville.

McConnellsburg 3 Northern Bedford 0

BEDFORD, Pa. - Trisha Seiders had 10 kills, 10 service points and six aces to lead McConnellsburg to a 25-12, 25-14, 25-12 sweep of Northern Bedford.


Emile Ott had 25 assists and Dani Paruch had 11 service points for the Spartans (14-4).

Notre Dame 3, Mercersburg 0

MIDDLEBURG, Va. - Lizz Harvey had 10 service points and eight assists for Mercersburg Academy in its 25-18, 25-22, 25-18 loss to Notre Dame Academy.

Libby Miga added 15 digs for the Blue Storm (8-5) while Caity Barnes had six kills.

JV: Notre Dame, 2-0.

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Laura Diller and Rachel Hollis each scored in the second half for the Blue Storm.


Bannister on first team

Shenandoah University freshman Lindsey Banister, a Clear Spring graduate, recently was named to the All-USA South Conference first team.

Banister, the Hornets' top runner in every race this season, placed 10th at the Virginia state championships.

Shenandoah sophomore Elizabeth Gannon, of Frederick, Md., was named to the second team.

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Tara Roberts and Sarah Bryan each had a goal and an assist as Shepherd University shut out Bloomfield College.

Maria Brown, Lauren Kinnear and Jamie Barthelemy each added a goal for the Rams (9-8).


North 47, Clear Spring 0: Devin Black, Tony Baumgardner, Anthony Green, Tommy Evans, Jemar Priestley, Dee Mency and Jarrell Hasan each scored a touchdown for North Hagerstown (6-1).

South 26, Smithsburg 0: Tony Bender, Marcellus Sumlin, Brock Jamison and Matt Campbell each had a touchdown for South Hagerstown (6-0-1).

Boonsboro 48, Brunswick 0: William Dayhoff had three touchdown passes and Matt Wetzel had a 15-yard TD catch and ran for a pair of scores - a 30-yarder and a 24-yarder - to lead Boonsboro. Jeff Dalton, Kurtis Wolfe, Scott Middeladorf, Jeff Dalton and Kyle Kane each added a TD.


South 28, Smithsburg 6: Diez Johnson returned an interception for a touchdown, rushed for a touchdown and threw a touchdown pass to Todd Jacobson to lead South Hagerstown. Jason Green returned a kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown for the Rebels (6-2).

North 44, Martinsburg 22: Justin Donaldson scored four touchdowns and had 182 yards rushing for North Hagerstown. Justin Hughes and Brendan Palmer each added a touchdown for the Hubs (7-0-1) while Mike McMillan threw a touchdown pass and Jimmy Eichelberger had two interceptions.

Boonsboro 12, Brunswick 6: Ryan McLean had 205 yards rushing and two touchdowns for Boonsboro (1-5) while Andrew Griffith had 95 yards rushing.

Williamsport 29, Catoctin 6: Kyle McDannel scored three touchdowns while Brad Hewitt had two TDs for Williamsport (4-2-1).

Martinsburg 34, Boonsboro 0: Martinsburg turned three second-half turnovers into touchdowns against Boonsboro on Tuesday. Ryan McLean rushed for 220 yards and made 10 tackles to lead the Warriors.
