Fairchild Reunion to be held Saturday, Nov. 6

The Fairchild Reunion will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, beginning at the Hagers-town Regional Airport as A-10 combat planes will land in honor of Fairchild's contribution to our nation's aviation history.

The A-10 pilots will then join local dignitaries for a public presentation about Fairchild's role in our nation's aviation history at Faith Chapel, 14 S. Potomac St., across from The Maryland Theatre at about 3 p.m. A showing of the documentary "Hagerstown: Remembering Our Aviation History" will occur after the talks with another showing of the unique and untold story of Hagerstown's aviation past by Vintage Video Productions scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. for the first showing of the documentary.

Memorabilia and displays will also be a part of the special aviation event that also coincides with the 20th anniversary of the last delivery of the Hagerstown-built A-10 to the Air Force in 1984.
