Goretti, Grace battle to scoreless draw

St. Maria Academy and Grace Academy battled to a 0-0 draw in two overtimes.

Kevin Brashears saved seven shots for Goretti (8-10-1) and Andy Eyler had 10 saves for Grace Academy (13-3-1).


Grace 3, Goretti 0

Megan Cox had 22 service points and six aces while Laura Steenburg had eight kills and seven digs for the Knights (14-2, 12-2), who won 25-13, 25-20, 25-12.

Scotland 4, Southern Fulton 0

SCOTLAND, Pa. - Candace Bard had 20 service points, four aces, four kills and two blocks, while Brandy Swope had five kills and 21 digs for Southern Fulton.

Heritage Academy 3, Tree of Life 1

Heather Stamper had 16 kills and 15 assists for Heritage Academy. Whitney Schlimgen added 22 digs and 14 kills for the Eagles (10-7, 7-7) while Jessica Thurber had 14 assists.



East Pennsboro 6, Greencastle 0

ENOLA, Pa. - Shaye Painter had eight saves for Greencastle as it lost to East Pennsboro.


Concord 3, Shepherd 1

ATHENS, W.Va. - Tara Roberts scored on an assist from Dana Kaufman for Shepherd University as it fell to Concord University in the WVIAC. Amy Bell had 10 saves in goal for the Rams (7-7, 4-4).


Grier finishes fourth

Hagerstown's Ashley Grier shot a 2-over par 146 with rounds of 72 and 74 for the University of Central Florida to finish in fourth place in the Hatter Fall Classic in Deland, Fla.
