Keedysville man dies after accident

NEW MARKET, Md. - A Keedysville man died in a Baltimore hospital Friday following a three-vehicle crash on Md. 75.

Robert Ellis Jones Jr., 50, of 5835 Red Hill Road, died at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, a hospital spokeswoman said Friday night.

Scott C. Jodoin, 47, of 537 S. Mildred St. in Charles Town, W.Va., also was taken to the hospital after the crash, Maryland State Police said in a news release.

Jodoin was listed in critical condition Friday night.

The crash happened at about 1:15 p.m.

Police said Jones, driving a 2002 Chrysler Voyager, and Jodoin, driving a 2003 Toyota Tundra, each were waiting to turn left from northbound Md. 75 onto Old New London Road, north of New Market.

Glenn Allan Longshore, 46, of 24 W. Orndorff Drive in Brunswick, Md., drove his dump truck into the back of Jodoin's Tundra, which hit the back of Jones' Voyager, police said.

Longshore was not injured.
