Harnett, Daughtridge do the tricks for Boonsboro

BOONSBORO - Hayley Harnett had three goals and an assist and Danielle Daughtridge also had a hat trick, leading No. 10 Boonsboro to an 8-1 win over Clear Spring in the final MVAL Antietam Conference game for each team Thursday night.

Also for Boonsboro (8-6, 4-3), Sarah Hensley had a goal and an assist, Jessica Jordan had a goal and Sarah Kornides added two assists.

Lindsey Keyton scored on a direct kick in the final seconds of the game for Clear Spring (1-13, 0-7).

JV: Boonsboro, 6-0.

No. 1 Tuscarora 2, South Carroll 1

FREDERICK, Md. - Rachel Holmes scored on a penalty kick and Molly Franklin scored on an assist from Jessie Nino as Tuscarora (11-2, 5-1) beat South Carroll to clinch at least a share of the MVAL Piedmont crown.

No. 8 Middletown 1, Brunswick 0

MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Ali Keeney scored for Middletown (6-7) as the Knights shut out Brunswick.


Lucy Shankle had 18 saves for the Railroaders (2-10).


No. 4 TJ 1, No. 5 Walkersville 0

WALKERSVILLE, Md. - Matt Knauss scored on an assist from Rob Franciscovich as Thomas Johnson beat Walkersville (9-4).

Tim Mehl recorded the shutout in goal for the Patriots (10-2-1).

Urbana 3, No. 7 North 1

Urbana outshot North Hagerstown 9-5 and scored on its first three, taking a 3-0 lead in the first 13 minutes.

Matt Parkhill scored two goals and Dan Orrison had one for Urbana (7-4-1), while Ben Adams had three saves.

James Idol scored off an assist from Luke Feight for North (6-4-2), while Josh Borland had five saves.

No. 8 Mercersburg 6, Notre Dame 1

MIDDLEBURG, Va. - Stephon Fullerton scored three goals to lead Mercersburg.

Justin Mellott, Matt Diller and John Marino each added a goal for the Blue Storm (7-4) while John Dawes had 11 saves in goal.

Waynesboro 8, Fairfield 3

FAIRFIELD, Pa. - Ben Bostic had three goals to lead Waynesboro past Fairfield.

Nick Adams added a goal and two assists for the Indians (5-11) while Marco Colum, Nik Gribin, Tyler Barrett and Kevin Trei each had a goal.

St. John's-PH 4, Mt. Carmel 0

BALTIMORE - James Smith scored three goals to lead St. John's at Prospect Hall (5-7-1) past Mt. Carmel.

Devin Luqman also scored for the Vikings (5-7-1).
