MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Martinsburg scored three goals in the final 10 minutes to beat Jefferson 4-2 in the W.Va. Region II Section 2 semifinals.
After the Bulldogs grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first half, Jefferson's Gabby Carstens and Mattie Stevens each scored to give the Cougars a 2-1 halftime lead. Jefferson held the lead until the Bulldogs erupted for three unanswered goals.
Martinsburg advances to take on Hedgesville on Saturday.

BOONSBORO - Chris Selby returned a punt 52 yards for a touchdown and added a 39-yard run to lead Boonsboro.
Matt Wetzel had two touchdown runs, while Kyle Kane, Will Dayhoff, Jessi Dalton and Brad Rohrer each had one for the Warriors (3-3-1). Matt Beall led the defense with 12 tackles, while Rohrer added 10.

BRUNSWICK, Md. - Chad Brown scored two touchdowns to lead Smithsburg (4-3) past Brunswick.

Slaninka injured
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Shepherd University head men's basketball coach Ken Tyler announced Wednesday that senior center Matt Slaninka will undergo surgery on his previously injured ankle early next week. The 7-foot-4 Slaninka will likely be sidelined for up to two months.
