Panel to discuss upcoming election

A panel of area Republicans and Democrats will discuss how the results of the 2004 election will affect American society.

The discussion will take place at a roundtable meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday in the College Center at Hagerstown Community College.

The free event is open to the public.

Republican representatives will be State Delegate Chris Shank, Washington County Commissioner Bill Wivell, attorney Mark Thomas and journalist Dee Mayberry. Thomas and Mayberry serve on the Republican Central Committee of Washington County.

Democratic representatives will be former County Commissioner Ron Bowers, Hagerstown Mayor William Breichner, former municipal official Michael Harsh, and attorney and John Kerry field representative Dan Rupli.
