SMITHSBURG - Mia Doyle scored three goals to lead No. 4 Smithsburg past Brunswick, 4-0, in the MVAL Antietam. Jenna Burns added a goal for the Leopards (9-4, 6-1) while Katie Seifarth added an assist and Candace Stanford recorded the shutout in goal.

No. 6 North 3, Catoctin 2


THURMONT, Md. - Kelsey Brasher, Cara Thompson and Hillary Grove each scored one goal for the Hubs (10-3, 5-1) while Heather McCleaf had three saves. Kasey Gladhill scored two goals and Kate Robinson had 15 saves for the Cougars (7-2-1, 5-1).

St. Maria Goretti 1 Bishop Walsh 0


Erin Goins scored on an assist from Erica DiMercurio to lead Goretti past Bishop Walsh. Andrea Buckner had 18 saves in goal for the Gaels (4-8-3). Brittany Riley had 11 saves for the Spartans in the loss.

Williamsport 4, South 1


WILLIAMSPORT - Breanne Cline, Juile Hancock, Kendal Moss and Kellyn Cole each scored one goal, Blaire Stone, Morggan McGill, and Sarah Tritsch each had assists and Catie Vancour had one save for Williamsport (5-7-1). Devon Steiner had a direct kick goal for South.

No. 6 Walkersville 6 South Carroll 0


WALKERSVILLE, Md. - Ben Seidel, Adam Gilbert, Kevin Carlson, Jody Crum, Alan Talbott and Tyler Redick each scored for Walkersville as it rolled past South Carroll in the MVAL Piedmont.

Seidel, Michael Smith and Matt Farley each added assists for the Lions (9-3, 5-1) while Patrick Skovira recorded the shutout in goal.

Logan Miller gave the Hubs a 1-0 lead with an assist from James Idol. Patrick Smith tallied a goal on a penalty kick for the Hubs (6-3-2, 4-0-1). Brian Williamson had four saves for North. Steven Hanes had three saves for Catoctin.

HAMPSTEAD, Md. - Bethany Springer had nine kills and five blocks, Sara Hanlon had nine kills and three blocks, Nicole Pagano had 19 assists and eight service points and Erin Dickman had eight service points and seven digs for Thomas Johnson (8-4) in a sweep of North Carroll, 25-17, 26-24, 25-14.

BRUNSWICK, Md. -Kayla Martin had 21 service points and eight aces while Kenzi Bowen had 10 kills to lead Smithsburg (7-3, 3-1), who won games by 25-5, 25-11, 25-2.

Clear Spring 3, Hancock 2


HANCOCK - Leigh Ann Bearden had 13 service points, seven aces and 10 kills for Clear Spring as it defeated Hancock, 19-25, 25-23, 25-23, 24-26, 15-11. Megan Robinson had 11 assists for the Blazers (4-8) while Christina Cushwa had 11 service points and Lindsay Fiedler had eight kills.

JV: Clear Spring, 2-0.

Fannett-Metal 3, CVCS 2


FANNETTSBURG, Pa. - Shaina Liddick had 18 kills and three blocks for Cumberland Valley Christian School in its 28-30, 25-22, 25-13, 23-25, 15-11 loss to Fannett-Metal. Caroline Geiger added 13 kills and seven digs for the Blazers (12-6) while Maggie Brookens had ten digs.

HCC 3 Anne Arundel CC 0


Staci Grabill had 31 assists and 11 digs for HCC as it beat Anne Arundel 30-10, 30-7, 30-11 in JUCO action. Savanah Wetzel added seven aces and 21 digs for the Hawks (23-6, 11-0).
