HARRISBURG, Pa. - Ashleigh Helfrick had 15 digs and seven kills while Erica Helfrick added 20 assists to lead No. 4 James Buchanan to a 25-7, 25-5, 25-5 Mid-Penn Capital sweep of Harrisburg on Tuesday.

Leslie Serrano added 19 service points and seven aces for the Rockets (15-2, 8-1).

No. 5 North Hagerstown 3, Brunswick 0

BRUNSWICK, Md. - Tracy Hinkle had 21 assists and three aces for North Hagerstown as the Hubs swept Brunswick 25-4, 25-14, 25-11 in an MVAL Antietam match.

Kaitlin Zimmer added nine kills and seven blocks for the Hubs (10-1) while Kierra Nelson had five kills and three blocks.

No. 6 Boonsboro, Catoctin 0

THURMONT, Md. - Jessie Ambrose had 17 servce points, eight kills and 16 assists as Boonsboro swept Catoctin in MVAL Antietam action, 25-8, 25-18, 25-18.


Caitlyn Selby had 10 service points and nine kills and Jerica Hewett had four kills for the Warriors (11-1, 2-1).

Renee Seiss had nine digs and Becky Cuddahee had eight for Catoctin (4-5, 1-4).

No. 7 Greencastle 3, Trinity 0

CAMP HILL, Pa. - Jessica Ritchey had 14 service points and 11 assists to lead Greencastle to a Mid-Penn Capital sweep of Trinity, 25-16, 25-8, 25-8.

Michelle Negley had 15 digs, Mandi Mentzer had 12 and Melanie Fries had 10 service points for the Blue Devils.

JV: Greencastle, 2-0.

No. 10 South 3, Clear Spring 1

CLEAR SPRING - Chelsea Weaver had 14 service points and 11 kills to lead South Hagerstown past Clear Spring, 25-22, 25-16, 23-25, 25-21, in the MVAL Antietam.

Jamie Fowler had nine kills, Marisa Bender had five and Brittany Hyatt had 28 assists for the Rebels (9-2, 2-1).

Ashley Crist and Amber Hendershot each had 10 service points for Clear Spring (3-7, 0-2). Crist had 10 assists and Ashley Tritapoe had six blocks.

Southern Fulton 3, Hyndman 0

HYNDMAN, Pa. - Jessie Wigfield had 10 points, six kills and 14 digs to lead Southern Fulton to a 25-13, 25-15, 25-12 sweep of Hyndman.

Candace Bard had 18 points and four kills, while Grace McCarthy had 18 assists for the Indians (8-5).

JV: Hyndman, 25-19, 25-23.

Heritage 3, Shalom 1

Heather Stamper had 20 kills and nine digs to lead Heritage Academy to a Mason Dixon Christian Conference win over Shalom Christian, 25-21, 25-19, 21-25, 25-22.

Whitney Schlimgen had 11 service points and 12 digs and Jessica Thurber had 14 assists for the Eagles (8-6, 6-6).

Grace 3, Calvary 1

CRESAPTOWN, Md. - Kristin Serafini had 15 service points and 22 assists to lead Grace Academy past Calvary Christian, 25-19, 20-25, 25-20, 25-19, in MDCC action.

Amber Knuckles had 14 service points and seven kills and Megan Cox had 15 digs and nine kills for the Knights (12-1, 12-1).

Chestnut Ridge 3, McConnellsburg 1

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Trisha Seiders had eight kills as McConnellsburg dropped its first Sideling Hill match to Chestnut Ridge, 25-18, 25-22, 14-25, 25-9.

Emily Ott had 20 assists for the Spartans (9-4, 7-1).

South Carroll 3, Middletown 1

SYKESVILLE, Md. - Kyra Davis had 27 assists and four aces for Middletown in its 17-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-23 MVAL Piedmont loss to South Carroll.

Amanda Lewis added 10 kills for the Knights (5-5, 2-1) while Jill Holian had 17 digs.

Broadfording 3, CVCS 0

Tina Conner had 16 digs and 12 kills as Broadfording swept Cumberland Valley Christian 25-22, 25-22, 25-17 in the MDCC.

Jessie Fath had 10 service points for the Lions while Becca Conner had 18 assists.

Shaina Liddick had 17 kills and five blocks for the Blazers (10-5, 7-3) while Maggie Brookens had nine service points and six digs and Miranda Payne and Sonja Liddick each had nine assists.


No. 2 Greencastle 6, James Buchanan 0

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Dustin Young scored three goals to lead Greencastle past James Buchanan in the Mid-Penn Colonial.

Treavor Gelsinger added two goals and three assists for the Blue Devils (13-1, 9-1) while Jared Barkdoll also scored.

Waynesboro 2, Susquenita 1

COVE, Pa. - Matt Sandifer scored on a breakaway five minutes into the overtime period to lead Waynesboro to a Mid-Penn Colonial victory over Susqunita.

The Indians (3-10, 3-7) dominated the game with 33 shots on goal but needed a goal in the 58th minute from Nick Adams to tie the match and send it into overtime.

Sandifer scored in the 85th minute when he took the ball and dribbled it around the charging goalie before popping it in the open net for the game winner.

Susquenita, which had 14 shots for the game, scored in the 10th minute on Jeremy Kirkhoff's free kick.

North Hagerstown 1, Smithsburg 0

Fred Kreiger scored for North Hagerstown on an assist from Lucas Feight as the Hubs shut out Smithsburg in the MVAL Antietam Conference.

Brian Williamson recorded the shutout in goal for the Hubs (5-3-2, 2-0-1).

Jake Stabler had seven saves for the Leopards.

St. John's-PH 6, Chapelgate 0

FREDERICK, Md. - Ryan Poticny scored two goals to lead St. John's-PH to an MIAA win over Chapelgate Christian Academy.
