October 12, 2004|by GREGORY T. SIMMONS

A West Antietam Street tavern that has been in business for 23 years plans to move, but not far.

Shortstop Tavern owner Mary Ellen Pryor said the planned move from 17 W. Antietam Street to 64 W. Antietam Street is scheduled for Nov. 1.

Two public hearings are scheduled on the move to the ground floor of the Dagmar Hotel building.

The Hagerstown Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a hearing Oct. 20 on the application for a special exception to the zoning rules. On Oct. 27, the county liquor board will hold a hearing on the move.
