Carolyn Tuttle recently was named director of patient financial services for the Washington County Health System.

Tuttle previously worked as director of patient financial services at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital for six years. She also has worked at The Psychiatric Institute of Washington (D.C.) and Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.

Smithsburg Family Medical Center


SMITHSBURG - Dr. Laura Henderson has joined the staff of the Smithsburg Family Medical Center.

Henderson is a graduate of Wayne State University Medical School in Detroit. She completed residencies in both pediatrics and internal medicine at The Detroit Medical Center in Michigan, where she was chief resident her final year.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -Dr. Carolyn Benenati, an obstetrician/gynecologist, recently joined the staff of Keystone Women's Care.

Prior to joining Keystone, Benenati was in private practice in New Jersey.

Benenati completed an internship and residency and was chief resident in obstetrics and gynecology at Danbury (Conn.) Hospital. She received her M.D. from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y., and earned her bachelor's degree at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Shreve was named Sales Representative of the Year by both Ryan Homes and the Frederick County Builders Association in 1998.

Linda M. Smith, an independent pharmacy consultant, recently attended the Maryland chapter of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists Mid-Atlantic Conference at the Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort in Allegany County, Md.

Smith participated in workshops on management and treatment strategies of conditions such as chronic kidney disease, anemia, osteoporosis, Peptic Ulcer Disease, Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease, chronic pain management and seizures.

Richard Romano, a correctional officer captain, was named Supervisor of the Quarter at Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown.

Romano is the operations supervisor for the 4-12 shift and also is on MCI's Risk Management Team.

Romano has been at MCI-Hagerstown for 22 years.
