CLEAR SPRING - Fred Kreiger had two goals and two assists for North Hagerstown as the Hubs shut out Clear Spring 7-0 in the MVAL Antietam on Thursday.

Logan Miller, Ethan Unruh, Fabian Guillotin, Brennan Smith and Brian Williamson each added a goal for the Hubs (4-3-2). Williamson recorded his 15th career shutout in goal, a school record, while his goal, scored on a penalty shot, was the 1,000th goal in school history.

No. 1 Boonsboro 4 Brunswick 1

BOONSBORO - Dave Stout scored two goals and had an assist for Boonsboro as the Warriors beat Brunswick in the MVAL Antietam.

Ryan Alick and Mike Dowell each added a goal for the Warriors (11-0, 4-0).

Russel Hoyt scored for Brunswick (1-6-2, 1-1-2).

No. 3 Martinsburg 4 Hampshire 2

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Nick Benavides scored two goals and had two assists for Martinsburg in the Bulldogs' Potomac Valley League win over Hampshire.


Trent Reid and Joey Borror each added a goal for the Bulldogs (11-1-1), who outshot Hampshire, 25-4.

Century 3 No. 7 Middletown 1

MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Justin Fox scored Middletown's goal on assists from Chris Riggin and Kenneth Vandre, but Century scored two second-half goals to beat the Knights in the MVAL Piedmont. JV: Tied, 3-3.

Hun School 5 No. 8 Mercersburg 2

PRINCETON, N.J. - Matt Diller and Zander Hartung each scored for Mercersburg Academy, but the Blue Storm lost to Hun School in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League.

John Dawes added seven saves for the Blue Storm (4-3).

Smithsburg 4, South 0

SMITHSBURG - Jeremy Ruper had two goals to lead Smithsburg to an MVAL Antietam win over South Hagerstown (4-5-1).

Chris Gyurisin and Jeff Sprecher each added a goal and an assist for the Leopards (3-7, 3-1), while Jake Staebler recorded the shutout in goal.

Williamsport 5, Catoctin 1

WILLIAMSPORT - Danny Gossard scored two goals for Williamsport as the Wildcats beat Catoctin in an MVAL Antietam game.

Derrek Hadley had a goal and an assist for the Wildcats (4-7-1), while Matt Oliver and Charlie Sponnier each added a goal. JV: Williamsport, 1-0.

East Pennsboro 4 Waynesboro 2

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Ben Bostic and Matt Sandifer each scored for Waynesboro, while Nick Gribin had an assist for the Indians (2-10, 2-7) in a lost to East Pennsboro in the Mid-Penn Conference.

WILLIAMSPORT - Beth Ryan had nine assists and seven aces for Williamsport in the Wildcats' 25-11, 25-10, 25-9 MVAL Antietam win over Brunswick.

Lacie Johnson added seven kills for the Wildcats (8-1, 1-0), while Emily Malott had five kills and four aces.

ELLIOTSBURG, Pa. - Leslie Serrano had 13 digs and four blocks for James Buchanan as the Rockets beat West Perry, 25-8, 25-7, 25-9.

Jess Snyder had 19 service points and six aces for the Rockets (13-1, 8-1 Mid-Penn Capital), while Ashleigh Helfrick had eight kills and Erica Helfrick had 20 assists.

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Jessica Ritchey had 12 service points and nine aces for Greencastle in a 25-5, 25-19, 25-14 sweep of Steelton-Highspire.

Samantha Phillips had 12 digs for the Blue Devils. JV: Greencastle, 2-0.

FREDERICK, Md. - Bethany Springer had 13 kills, eight blocks, seven digs and six service points for Thomas Johnson as the Patriots slipped past Westminster 25-21, 9-25, 25-16, 15-25, 16-14 in the MVAL Chesapeake.

Lauren Morrow added 14 service points for the Patriots (6-4, 2-0), while Nicole Pagano had 26 assists. JV: TJ, 3-0.

CLEAR SPRING - Kenzie Bowen had seven kills, seven digs and 10 service points for Smithsburg as the Leopards beat Clear Spring 25-20, 25-17, 25-16 in the MVAL Antietam.

Jenny Nalley added 13 points, six aces and six kills for the Leopards (6-2, 2-0), while Kayla Martin had 24 assists.

Megan Robinson had 12 service points for the Blazers (3-6, 1-1). Ashley Crist added 12 assists. JV: Smithsburg, 2-1.

THURMONT, Md. - Brittany Hyatt had 43 assists and 12 service points to lead South Hagerstown past Catoctin 26-24, 12-25, 25-17, 22-25, 15-6 in the MVAL Antietam.

Jamie Fowler had 15 kills and 11 service points and Chelsea Weaver had 12 kills and six service points for the Rebels (8-2, 1-1).

Becky Cuddahee had seven aces and Connie Cuddahee had four kills and 11 digs for the Cougars (4-4, 0-2).

Middletown 3, Tuscarora 0

MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Erin Burtner had 13 kills, Amanda Lewis had seven kills and five aces, Kyra Davis had 24 assists and Susan Dembowski had eight digs as Middletown (5-4) swept Tuscarora (5-5) 25-12, 25-17, 25-23 in an MVAL Piedmont match.

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Jessie Wigfield had 10 kills and 18 digs to lead Southern Fulton to a 25-13, 27-25, 16-25, 25-20 win over Everett in the Sideling Hill League.

Brandy Swope had 13 service points, four aces and 10 digs for the Indians (6-5, 4-4), while Candace Bard had 10 service points and six kills, Grace McCarthy had 12 service points and 20 assists and Megan Plunkard added six kills.

McConnellsburg 3 Tussey Mountain 0

SAXTON, Pa. - Emily Ott had 21 assists and Trisha Seider had seven kills for McConnellsburg as the Spartans beat Tussey Mountain 25-11, 25-17, 25-18 in the Sideling Hill League.

Gretchen Swope had 16 service points for the Spartans (9-3, 7-0) and Tara Ritchey had four aces.

YORK, Pa. - Maggie Brookens had eight service points, four kills and six digs in Cumberland Valley Christian's 25-13, 25-19, 25-22 win over Christian School of York.

Shaina Liddick had eight kills and four blocks for the Blazers (10-3).

Sami Leasure had five kills and six digs, while Andrea Clark had seven assists for Heritage Academy (7-6) in a 25-23, 25-18, 15-25, 25-22 win over Highland View.
