City of Hagerstown offering dinner to benefit nonprofits

The City of Hagerstown is planning a Progressive Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 7, in downtown Hagerstown. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit two local nonprofit organizations - The Washington County Arts Council and Potomac Classical Youth Ballet Company.

The evening will start with registration and hors d'oeuvres from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Washington County Arts Council Gallery at 21 S. Potomac St.

Diners may choose one of four downtown restaurants for their main course. Participating restaurants are The Gourmet Goat, The Rhubarb House, Roccoco's and Schmankerl Stube. Dinner seating begins at 6 p.m.

The finale for the evening includes desserts and entertainment at the Washington County Playhouse from 8 to 9 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Potomac Classical Youth Ballet Company and the Washington County Playhouse.


The ticket price of $50 per person includes hors d'oeuvres, main meal at selected restaurant, house salad, nonalcoholic beverage of choice (coffee, tea or soda), all taxes and gratuities, and dessert and entertainment at the playhouse. $10 of each ticket purchased is a tax-deductible donation.
