Student artists! Win fame! Fortune?

Well, win $50 and get your name in the paper, at least.

Student artists in high school and middle school may enter their best artwork in The Herald-Mail's Student Art Contest. Art in any medium - flat or three-dimensional - may be entered. Individual artists may enter no more than three pieces each.

The winning artist wins $50; artist and artwork will be pictured on the Next page in The Herald-Mail.

Drop off artwork at The Herald-Mail, 100 Summit Ave. in Hagerstown, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.; or mail your art to Lifestyle, The Herald-Mail Co., P.O. Box 439, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Attach to the artwork a label with the title and medium of the artwork; also include the name, age, phone number and school or home school of the artist.

Entries are due by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Students may pick up their artwork at The Herald-Mail after contest results are published.

Herald-Mail employees and their children are not eligible to compete in the contest.
