Washington County Young Mothers Playgroup

Hagerstown Torch Club

Today, Four Points Sheraton, Dual Highway, Hagerstown. The club meets monthly for dinner and encourages the exchange of knowledge and information among members. Some topics for programs this year are "Misconceptions about Sport Fishing," "Casting a Play," "A Guide to an Ethical Life" and, this month's paper, "The FDR Presidential Library," presented by Carl Pedersen.

Hagerstown Garden Club

Wednesday, Sept. 22, 11 a.m., Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, City Park, Hagerstown. Barbara Steele will present the program "Evening Gardens of the Night." A luncheon will follow at noon.

Cavetown/Smithsburg Homemakers Club

SMITHSBURG - Wednesday, Sept. 22, noon, Trinity Lutheran Church. The program "Time to Get Clutter Under Control," will be featured. New members are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
