The Robinsons

Eddie and Groveine Robinson of Hagerstown, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at a surprise party held at the Improved Order of Red Men Lodge No. 84 in Williamsport. Approximately 100 family and friends attended the celebration, hosted by Neal and Shirley Beard.

The Robinsons were married on Dec. 13, 1963, by Rev. Robert Sutton at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg. JoAnne Flook was maid of honor and Austin Flook was best man.

Mrs. Robinson is the daughter of the late Grove and Glondola McGraw.

Mr. Robinson is the son of the late Paul and Pearl Robinson.

The Robinsons have two children: Scott is married to Jami and has three sons; Jay is married to Christy and has one son.

Mr. Robinson is employed by the Washington County Highway Department and Mrs. Robinson is employed by the Potomac Center.

The Flooks

Austin and JoAnne Flook of Keedysville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, June 27, 2004, at the home of Jim and Leslie Cochran in Boonsboro. About 100 family members and friends attended the event. The surprise picnic was followed by a poolside renewal of marriage vows, officiated by the Rev. Malcolm Stranathan of Salem United Methodist Church.


The Flooks were married June 18, 1954 in Staunton, Va., by the Rev. Donald Stonesifer.

Mrs. Flook is the daughter of the late Victor G. and M. Glondola McGraw.

Mr. Flook is the son of the late John J. and Inez E. Flook.

They have one son, Dwayne Flook, and one grandson.
