Helen M. Tidwell, 57

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Helen Mae DeLawter Tidwell, 57, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at her home.

Born May 25, 1947, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Charles Luther Sr. and Lucille Tanner DeLawter.

Her husband, Drillis "Chip" Tidwell, preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Mount Airy (Md.) High School and attended business college.

She was a payroll clerk for Montgomery County Public Schools.

She was a member of Berkeley Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She is survived by one brother, Charles L. DeLawter Jr. of Frederick, Md.; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Berkeley Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pastor Hal Butman will officiate. Burial will be private.

Dorothy M. Law, 85

APRIL 4, 1919-SEPT. 11, 2004

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Dorothy M. "Dot" Law, 85, of Menno-Haven and formerly of Camp Hill, Pa., died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, at Menno-Haven.

Born April 4, 1919, in Lykens, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Francis and Myrl Shultz Klinger.

Her husband, LaMar Law, died in 1994.

She was a 1936 graduate of Lykens High School.

She was a member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Camp Hill.

She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Orwigsburg Chapter 424.

She is survived by one brother, John Klinger of Lykens; two grandchildren, L. David Law III and Lisa Dunn; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens. The Rev. Keith Schmuck will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco, Pa.

Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 4200 Market St., Camp Hill, PA 17011.

Kenneth D. Wolfensberger

The obituary in Tuesday's Morning Herald for Kenneth David Wolfensberger, 76, of 55 E. Washington St., Hagerstown, contained errors. He retired from Stanley Furniture in Waynesboro, Va. He is survived by daughter, Glenda J. Geris of Fredericksburg, Va.; and he was preceded in death by two sons, Paul D. Wolfensberger and Morris D. Hewitt II; one sister, Ruth H. Hoover; one brother, Glenn E. Wolfensberger; and one great-granddaughter.

Elizabeth A. Collis, 65

STAFFORD, Va. - Elizabeth Ann Collis, 65, of Stafford, and formerly of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at Carriage Hill Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Fredericksburg, Va.

Born March 25, 1939, in Shepherdstown, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Cecil Mae Jones Snyder.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Lee Collis, in 1998.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hartwood, Va.

She was a member of The Red Hat Society, Carriage Hill Bingo Club and Ruritan Club.

She is survived by five daughters, Lesia A. Norwood of Stafford, Virginia Naill of Lake Anna, Va., Catherine Brannon of Kearneysville, W.Va., Norma J. Bond of Funkstown and Florence Shirley of Martinsburg, W.Va.; two sons, Walter Myers of Berkeley Springs and Calvin Collis Jr. of Mount Airy, Md.; seven sisters, Dorothy Kees, Vernie Breeden and Suzette Snyder, all of Shepherdstown, Wanda Ruppenthal of Berkeley Springs, Georgie Canfield of Martinsburg, Mary Jane Stroupe of Lakeland, Fla., and Henrietta Eby of Charles Town, W.Va.; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Collis.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Rich Ritchie will officiate. Burial will be in Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Worthington Campbell Jr., 82

WILLIAMSPORT - A memorial service for the Rev. Worthington Campbell Jr., 82, of Williamsport, and formerly of Falmouth, Mass., who died of cancer Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, Hagerstown. The Rev. Scott Bellows will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.

Robert L. Byers Sr., 64

FEB. 22, 1940-SEPT. 13, 2004

WILLIAMSPORT - Robert Lee "Bobby" Byers Sr., 64, of 11000 Celeste Drive, Williamsport, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at his home.

Bobby was born Feb. 22, 1940, in Hagerstown, the son of the late Robert Joseph and Leola Dorothy Lang Byers.

He was employed as a custodian with the Washington County Board of Education at Springfield Middle School in Williamsport until his retirement in 2000. He worked as an orderly at Washington County Hospital prior to this.

He was a member of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church in Williamsport.

Bobby served with the Maryland National Guard.
