Maryland School Assessment results:
· In reading, 62.4 percent of students in grade three had proficient or advanced scores last school year, compared to 73.6 percent this year.
· In math, 71.1 percent of students in grade three had proficient or advanced scores last school year, compared to 77.5 percent this year.
· In reading, 71.3 percent of students in grade five had proficient or advanced scores last school year, compared to 73.4 percent this year.
· In math, 59 percent of students in grade five had proficient or advanced scores last school year, compared to 62.3 percent this year.
· In reading, 66.4 percent of students in grade eight had proficient or advanced scores last school year, compared to 73.3 percent this year.
· In math, 51.2 percent of students in grade eight had proficient or advanced scores last school year, compared to 60.8 percent this year.
· In reading, 70.8 percent of students in grade 10 had proficient or advanced scores last school year, compared to 71.8 percent this year.
