Henrietta Barnhart, 94

LAPLATA, Md. - Henrietta Barnhart, 94, of LaPlata, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at Charles County Nursing Home in LaPlata.

She was born Jan. 9, 1910.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Merrick, and grandchildren, Timothy Falkinburg Jr., Daniel Merrick and Elizabeth Merrick Knippel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Henrietta Wagner; husband, C. Paul Barnhart; daughter, Deborah Falkinburg; brother, Robert Wagner; sister, Catherine Conrad; and grandchildren, Timothy and Paul Falkinburg and Christopher Merrick.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at 2 p.m. at LaPlata United Methodist Church. Interment will be private.

Robert W. Noll, 86

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Robert W. "Bob" Noll, of 11297 Woodside Drive, and formerly of 10948 Mentzer Gap Road, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.

Born Nov. 29, 1917, in Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late John W. and Clara F. McLaughlin Noll.

He was a 1936 graduate of Washington Township (Pa.) High School.

He was owner of Bob Noll's Select Cars in Waynesboro.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Waynesboro.

He was a member of Free and Accepted Masons Acacia Lodge 586 of Waynesboro.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian S. Stevens Noll, whom he married Aug. 18, 1940; three daughters, Phyra K. Hargett of Lithonia, Ga., Patricia S. Paull of McSherrystown, Pa., and Lynda S. Miller of Joshua, Texas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Noll; and two brothers, Kenton Noll and Raymond Noll.

Memorial services will be today at 3 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, Waynesboro. The Rev. Robert A. Cook will officiate. Burial will be private.

There will be no public viewing, however, the family will receive friends today one hour prior to services at the church.

The family requests the omission of flowers; memorial donations may be made to Building Fund of Christ United Methodist Church, 6 W. Second St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Ethel M. Baker, 67

NOV. 19, 1936-SEPT. 9, 2004

Ethel M. Baker, 67, of Hagerstown, went to be with our Lord and Saviour Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, at the home of her daughter.

Born Nov. 19, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Keller E. and Edith M. Bond Buhrman.

She was a member of F.O.E. 694, AMVETS Post 10, Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 and Women of the Moose 738.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Wayne E. Baker Sr.; one son, Wayne E. Baker Jr. of Williamsport; daughters, Eloisa Bains of Hagerstown, Lisa Popp of Clear Spring, Adriana Miller of Newburg, Pa., and daughter from a previous marriage, Janet Nigh Bloom of Hagerstown. Other survivors include brothers, Marvin "Red" Buhrman and Jim Buhrman; sisters, Ruth Kuhn and Erma "Mitzi" Leedy; 10 grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown, on Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Loyal Vanderveer officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Carl K. Hunter, 67

AUG. 24, 1937-SEPT. 8, 2004

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Carl Kenneth Hunter, 67, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, at City Hospital.

Born Aug. 24, 1937, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Chauncy Magee and Evelyn Fern Hunter.

He retired from the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg.

He served in the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Donna Leland Hunter; one son, Kenneth W. Hunter of Martinsburg; and two grandchildren, Cameron L. Hunter and Nicholas J. Hunter.

Memorial services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Martinsburg. The Rev. James D. Riley Jr. and the Rev. Harry E. Leland III will officiate. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Berkeley Senior Center, Special Tribute Fund, 217 N. High St., Martinsburg, WV 25401.

BRANCHLAND, W.Va. - Holly Ann Sias of Branchland, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at her home.

She was the daughter of Frances Sander Tinsman of Hedgesville, W.Va., and the late Raymond Tinsman.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Edward Sias of Branchland; one daughter, Laura B. Kline of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one brother, Craig D. Tinsman of Texas; and nieces and nephews.
