MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Tiff Hunsberger had 21 digs and Erica Helfrick had 20 assists as James Buchanan beat Southern Fulton in straight sets Wednesday, 25-10, 25-10, 25-11.

Amy Heisey had 11 service points and Jess Snyder had seven blocks and seven kills for the Rockets (2-1).

Brandy Swope led the Indians (1-1) with seven service points.


Shepherd 3, Bowie State 0

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - After dropping its first six matches of the season, Shepherd University won its second straight with a sweep of Bowie State, 30-4, 30-11, 30-21.

Taylor Darnley had 15 digs and Middletown graduate Aubrey Pfau had seven kills to lead the Rams (2-6). Kristy Cramer had nine digs and six kills in the win.

Adam Forimaya had 10 saves for Hagerstown Community College (0-1) in the Hawks' season opener.


Girls softball tryouts
