Suns drop 12th straight in their final home game

The Lake County Captains beat the Hagerstown Suns 8-5 Friday night, extending the Suns' losing streak to 12 in their final home game of the season at Municipal Stadium.

The Suns (20-47), who lost 13 of 16 games against the Captains (36-30), end their season with a three-game series at Lexington, beginning today.

Lakewood rallied for six runs in the fourth inning to go up, 7-0. Kevin Kouzmanoff started the rally with a solo home run and Ryan Goleski capped it with a two-run double.

Trailing 7-1, the Suns cut their deficit to 7-5 on Zach Srong's grand slam in the sixth.

Aaron Hornostaj had three of Hagerstown's 12 hits.

Suns starter Mike Musgrave (2-5) lasted 3 1/3 innings.
