Hits keep coming, but runs don't

September 03, 2004

The Hagerstown Suns are proving that untimely hits are nothing more than a lot of noise.

It was another day, another nine-hit game and another loss for the fading Suns. Hagerstown got the hits, but only produced one run Thursday as Lake County hung a 6-1 decision on the Suns for their eighth consecutive loss.

Bill Peavey hit a two-run home run off reliever Travis Nesmith (1-9) in the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie.

Suns' starter Ryan Sadowski allowed one run on five hits over five innings.

Brent Swanson drove in Hagerstown's only run in the third.

Kevin Kouzmanoff had four hits for Lake County. Tim Hutting, Aaron Hornostaj and Jason Columbus had two hits each for the Suns.
