Man guilty in slashing

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Franklin County jury deliberated about 45 minutes Wednesday before finding a New York man guilty of slashing three people at a Chambersburg club in January.

William Cortez Ensley, 33, of Farckaway, N.Y., was arrested Feb. 3 and charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of recklessly endangering other people in a Jan. 30 incident at Laurel Lodge at 81 W. South St., according to the Chambersburg police affidavit.

Police went to the club that morning after receiving a call that a man was slashing people with a razor knife or box cutter, according to the affidavit of probable cause. A man's and two women's faces were cut, according to police documents.

No sentencing date was set by Judge Carol Van Horn, according to the Clerk of Courts Office.
