Area roundup - Hanft leads Grace Academy past Heritage

BOYS SOCCER



Jordan Hanft had four goals and an assist to lead Grace Academy to a 7-2 win over Heritage Academy on Tuesday.

A.J. Serafini had two goals and an assist for Grace (2-0), while Alex Lehman added a goal, Dalen Carlson and Steve Wilson each had an assist and Andy Eyler made 12 saves.

Goretti 3, Musselman 3


The game between St. Maria Goretti and Musselman ended in a tie.

Melanie Conner, Jillian Kline and Erin Haney each scored a goal for Goretti (1-0-1).

Sarah Talbot, Brooke Butler and Rachel Boyd scored Musselman's goals.

Grace 3, Heritage 1


Katie Kendall had 21 service points and five aces to lead Grace Academy to a 25-17, 25-13, 20-25, 25-19 Mason Dixon Christian Conference win over Heritage Academy (1-1).

Kristin Serafini had 16 service points and 12 assists for Grace (2-0, 2-0), while Megan Cox had nine kills.

CVCS 3, New Life 1


Molly Brookens had 10 service points and 11 assists as Cumberland Valley Christian School defeated New Life Christian 25-19, 20-25, 26-24, 25-21 in the MDCC.

Maggie Brookens added eight digs and seven kills for CVCS (2-0, 2-0).

Broadfording 3, Faith 0


Jessie Fath had 11 aces for Broadfording Christian Academy as the Lions beat Faith Christian 25-15, 25-11, 25-20 in the MDCC.

Tina Conner added six kills and Becca Conner had 12 assists for Broadfording (1-1, 1-1).

Funkstown Moose/ReMax Achievers 30, Century 21 20: Curty Myers and Pork Wallech each had two home runs for Funkstown, while Dale Reed and Steve Hartle each had four hits and K.C. Hutzell, Lew Thomas and Scott Remsburg each added three hits.
