County food services featured in magazine

The Food and Nutrition Services Department of Washington County Public Schools was featured in the July 15 edition of Foodservice Director Magazine.

The article focused on the success of the breakfast program, noting a 20 percent increase in participation in the 2003-04 school year, according to a Washington County Public Schools press release.

Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor Gary Dodds attributed the increase to cooperation between students and staff, changes in meal delivery and presentation, and waiving the reduced-price fee.
