Augustoberfest


A salute to Hagerstown's sister city, Wesel, Germany. The ninth annual festival includes musical entertainment, food, a car show and volksmarch. The festival will be in Hagerstown's central parking lot. Today, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for adults; children 12 and younger are admitted free. Children participating in Augustoberfest children's activities must be accompanied by ticket-holding adults.




C&O Canal Days


Activities include arts and crafts, canal-era music, displays of C&O artifacts, children's casting contest, and ironwork and steelwork demonstrations. Today and Sunday. Most activities will take place at Byron Memorial Park in Williamsport, Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, Williamsport Visitor Center and Cushwa Basin. Call 301-582-0813.




Antique tractor show


Highlights of the 12th annual Washington County Antique Tractor & Craft Show include:

- Today - Spud Fest, 10 a.m.; kids' pedal tractor race, 2 p.m.; parade of tractors, 3 p.m.; antique tractor pull, 4 p.m.

- Sunday - Kids' pedal pull, 1 p.m.; parade of tractors, 2 p.m.; bake auction, 3 p.m.

Peace and unity gathering


Today, eight bands will play music with the theme "Love Not Hate." There will be activities for children, including an opportunity to bring your camera and have your picture taken with exotic reptiles. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Music begins at noon. Keedysville festival


Keedysville Ruritan Festival activities include a dance marathon contest with a $500 grand prize, a reptile man and a psychic. There also will be door prizes, bands and DJs, guest speakers, ethnic groups and storytellers. Everybody's Day


The golden years of Pen Mar Park will be celebrated with big band ballroom music, children's activities and classic cars. Sunday, noon to 5 p.m., with live swing music from 2 to 5 p.m. Free. Pen Mar Park, Cascade.




Renfrew Jazz Festival


A day of jazz music featuring Paul Bollenback, guitar; Eric Alexander, saxophone; Chris Berger, bass; and Montez Coleman, drums. Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m., Renfrew Museum, 1010 E. Main St., Waynesboro, Pa. Band concert
