Voting machine demonstrations set

The Washington County Board of Elections has scheduled public demonstrations of the new electronic voting machines that will be used throughout Maryland in the November election.

Visually impaired voters will be able to vote independently at the polling places because of these units.

Planned demonstrations include:

  • Williamsport Senior Citizens site, Thursday, 10 a.m.

  • Municipal Stadium, Friday, 6 p.m.

  • Williamsport C&O Canal Days, Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Maugansville Pride Day, Saturday, Sept. 4, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Washington County Hospital, Wednesday, Sept. 22, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

  • Robinwood Medical Center, Wednesday, Sept. 22, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

  • Chamber of Commerce annual meeting, Thursday, Sept. 23, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

  • Smithsburg Steam and Craft Show, Saturday, Sept. 25, and Sunday, Sept. 26, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
