August 23, 2004

An 18-year-old Hagerstown man remained hospitalized Sunday more than 24 hours after he fell out of a moving car in Hagerstown, the Hagerstown Police Department said.

Police said the man, whose name was not released Sunday, was reportedly sitting in the window of the vehicle with his legs dangling out of the car on Rowland Avenue Saturday, at about 7:17 p.m. While the car was moving, he fell onto the street and sustained head injuries.

Police said a boy, 16, was driving at the time of the incident but would not release his name.

Police said investigators were going to try to speak with the injured man Sunday at Washington County Hospital.
