REACH Caregivers Day planned for Suns' game

August 19, 2004

The first annual REACH Caregivers Day at Municipal Stadium will be held Tuesday, Aug. 24, at 7 p.m. when the Hagerstown Suns play the Kannapolis Intimidators.

Friends, volunteers and supporters of REACH, the Religious Effort to Assistant and Care For the Homeless, will be offered discounted tickets for $5 each.

Of that amount, $3.50 will be donated to the capital campaign fund for the new REACH center.

The date coincides with the 100th anniversary of the ice cream cone, so there will be specials on ice cream.

Terri Baker, executive director of REACH, will throw out the opening pitch along with NBC25 broadcaster Morgan Fogarty. Players will be available for autographs, and there will be some special prizes for REACH volunteers and families.

Tickets can be purchased at the REACH office. Call 301-733-2371 for tickets and directions.
