"Summerland"

This episode is the season finale, but fans need not worry about the fate of "Summerland." It was a big success by WB standards, and the network says that Lori Loughlin and company will return for 13 more episodes that will be scheduled as a midseason replacement.

9 p.m. on HBO

"The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen"

Superheroes of Victorian-era fiction band together to try to stop a madman from launching a world war. Starring in this 2003 movie are Sean Connery, Peta Wilson, Shane West and Jason Flemyng.

10 p.m. on PBS

"P.O.V."

Tonight's film, "Every Mother's Son," tells how three New York women whose sons were killed by police have become advocates for reform, leading a challenge to "the militarization of law enforcement." They also help families to "seek the truth and accountability" when shootings by police seem questionable.
