Donaldson-Beers


Jim and Brenda Donaldson of Sharpsburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Diane Donaldson, to Linc Aaron Beers, son of Terry and Bonnie Beers of Mechanicsburg, Pa.

Miss Donaldson is a 2000 graduate of Boonsboro High School and a 2004 graduate of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W.Va., with a bachelor of science degree in environmental studies/resource management. She is employed at Antietam National Battlefield as a park ranger, and is pursuing a master of science degree in forest resource management at Pennsylvania State University.

Mr. Beers is a 1998 graduate of Blue Mountain High School in Schuylkill Haven, Pa., and a 2002 graduate of Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, Pa., with a bachelor of science degree in parks and recreation. He received a master of science degree in parks and recreation, resource management from Slippery Rock University in 2004. He is employed at Antietam National Battlefield as a law enforcement ranger, and will begin training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Georgia.

Shepherd-Ragland


Terry and Diana Shepherd and Francie Hardy, all of Hagerstown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie A. Shepherd, to C. Allen Ragland Jr., son of Barbara and C. Allen Ragland Sr. of Hagerstown.

Miss Shepherd is a 1996 graduate of Mercersburg Academy, received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, W.Va., and is pursuing a master's degree in business administration. She is career services director for Thompson Institute in Chambersburg, Pa.

Mr. Ragland is a 1993 graduate of North Hagerstown High School and is completing a bachelor of science degree in business administration and management information systems from National-Louis University. He is a senior systems engineer for CommIT Enterprises in Baltimore. He also serves as lieutenant platoon leader of the 200th MP Company with the Maryland National Guard.

A Nov. 20 wedding is planned.




Funk-Nave


Jami Michelle Funk and Hunter Lynn Nave II of Clear Spring announce their engagement.

Miss Funk is the daughter of Emerson and Teresa Funk of Big Pool. She is a 2002 graduate of Clear Spring High School and is pursuing a degree in medical laboratory technology at Allegany College of Maryland.

Mr. Nave is the son of Hunter and Roberta Nave of Clear Spring. He is a 2002 graduate of Clear Spring High School. He is employed with Chevron Phillips Performance Pipe in Hagerstown.

A September 2005 wedding is planned.
