Someone who bought a Pick 3 Lottery ticket at a Hagerstown 7-Eleven won $50,000 in the Bonus Match-up drawing Thursday, Maryland Lottery officials said Friday in a press release.
Players purchasing Pick 3 tickets between June 28 and Aug. 8 with a value of $1 or more had a random chance to receive an eight-digit bonus coupon. Valid for that evening's drawing only, coupons with the last two digits matching the last two Pick 3 evening numbers drawn won $250 instantly. All Pick 3 bonus coupon numbers not matching the evening drawing numbers automatically were entered into the grand prize drawing, with prizes of $100,000, $50,000 and $25,000 being awarded, lottery officials said.
Estimated taxes will be paid by the Maryland Lottery for all three prizes.
The $50,000 second prize belongs to the holder of bonus coupon number 00018771, purchased at the Dual Highway 7-Eleven, according to lottery officials.
Another Lottery player holding bonus coupon number 00724002 may claim the $100,000 grand prize. The ticket was purchased at Quick Mart Annapolis on West Street in Annapolis.
