Peach festival

Healing arts event

A three-day festival celebrating 140 years of healing arts and emergency medicine. The event will feature Civil War and World War II hospital encampments, a Civil War ambulance, military medical presentations, modern emergency medical displays, a bagpiper, a corn roast and bluegrass music. Candlelight tour

The tour, titled "After the Battle," will feature walking tours of Crampton's Gap - present-day Gathland State Park - where part of the Battle of South Mountain was fought. Civil War re-enactors will show what life was like for the soldiers after the battle. Today, 7:30 to 10 p.m. South Mountain State Battlefield, one mile west of Burkittsville off Md. 17. $5 for ages 13 and older; free for ages 12 and younger. Proceeds will benefit Friends of South Mountain State Battlefield.

Aaron Tippin

Community band

Sen. Donald Munson will present the 90th anniversary resolution from the state Senate to the Hagerstown Municipal Band. The band's concert will include "National Spirit March" by S.E.
