August 12, 2004

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - A man was flown to Inova Fairfax (Va.) Hospital after he was hurt in a two-car wreck at the intersection of Flowing Springs Road and Daniels Road Wednesday morning, police said.

The 11 a.m. crash occurred when the man, who was traveling north on Flowing Springs Road, turned his Acura onto Daniels Road, said Deputy K.J. Boyce of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

As the man was making the turn, a Nissan Sentra traveling south on Flowing Springs Road skidded and collided with the man's car, Boyce said.

The Nissan Sentra was being driven by Kevin Alan Hamilton, 29, of Frederick, Md., Boyce said. Hamilton was treated at Jefferson Memorial Hospital and released, Boyce said.

Boyce was still trying to identify the driver of the Acura Wednesday afternoon.

It was unclear which driver was at fault in the crash, Boyce said.
