CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - An Adams County, Pa., man was charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault in the shooting of a man outside a Guilford Township store Saturday night, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Rodolfo Garcia-Reyes, age unavailable, of 830 Pleasant Valley Road, Biglerville, Pa., was arraigned before District Justice Larry Pentz and jailed without bond in Franklin County Prison, Cpl. Gary Carter said.

The man Garcia-Reyes is charged with shooting, Augustin Vazquez, was in critical condition Sunday night at Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center, according to a hospital official. The address of Vazquez, believed to be in his early 20s, is not known, police said.

Carter said he did not know how many times Vazquez was shot in the incident that took place at 11:05 p.m. outside La Guadalupana Mexican Store, 2138 Lincoln Way East.

Police said a disturbance outside the business led to the shooting. Vazquez was initially treated at Chambersburg Hospital and then flown to Hershey, police said.

There was some kind of social gathering at the store when the shooting occurred, although the number of people there had not been determined, Carter said.

Carter said he did not know if Vazquez was an employee of the store or was there for the gathering.

Police were still hoping to interview witnesses and the investigation is ongoing, Carter said.

Garcia-Reyes was the only person charged in the shooting, Carter said Sunday night.
