Teen social club dances


All Rampage Teen Social Club dances at Martinsburg-Berkeley County (W.Va.) Boys & Girls Club are $3 for members and $4 for nonmembers. Dances at other locations are $5. Dances at Musselman High School are two for one. Pay $5 and bring a friend free.

Dances are open to teens in sixth grade and older. August events are as follows:

  • Friday, Aug. 6 - Martinsburg Boys & Girls Club, 7 to 10:30 p.m., free for Boys and Girls Club summer camp participants.

  • Friday, Aug. 13 - Musselman High School, featuring D&M DJ, two for one night, 7 to 10:30 p.m.

  • Friday, Aug. 20 - War Memorial Pool, featuring D&M DJ, 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.

  • Friday, Aug. 27 - Martinsburg Boys & Girls Club, 7 to 10:30 p.m.


Rampage Teen Social Club provides area youth a drug-, alcohol- and tobacco-free environment where they can dance, play pool, video games, watch movies and enjoy the company of their peers. For information, call CPP Rampage at 1-304-261-9087.




Movies opening this week


"Collateral" (R) - Jamie Foxx plays a taxi driver whose latest customer turns out to be a contract killer, played by Tom Cruise. Stuck in a nightmare, the driver takes the hit man from one assignment to the next, leaving bodies in their wake, and hoping that he's not next.

"Little Black Book" (PG-13) - Stacy Holt, an associate producer for a daytime talk show hostess, is frustrated when her boyfriend refuses to discuss his past relationships. With the encouragement of her co-worker, she probes his Palm to learn about his ex-girlfriends. Using the show as a ruse Stacy interviews and befriends them, discovering that the past, in some instances, is the present. Starring Brittany Murphy, Ron Livingston, Kathy Bates, Holly Hunter and Rashida Jones.
