Darryn DeShong picked up a victory in the Tri-State Junior Golf Association tournament at Beaver Creek Golf Course on Monday.
DeShong won the 16-18 division with a 3-over-par 75, two strokes ahead of Kevin Reiber and Clayton Rotz.
Steven Hutzell shot a 78 to win the 14-15 division and Alex Hoffman was first in the 12-13 division with a 78. Kacy Straub's 87 led the girls.
The Tri-State Juniors conclude the year Aug. 16 with the championships at Black Rock.

Funkstown ousted
FREDERICK, Md. - Salisbury strung together five straight hits to build a four-run sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie en route to a 7-4 victory to eliminate Funkstown from the Maryland State American Legion tournament at McCurdy Field.
Salisbury used 17 hits and added two runs in the seventh inning to take a 7-1 lead, sending Funkstown to a fifth-place finish in the eight-team, double-elimination tournament. Funkstown pitchers Kyle Robinson and Josh Bowers combined to allow only three walks in the game.
